Reports to Families

All children have objectives for learning and development set for them by the Qualified staff member in their care room. Individual objectives are implemented into room programs.  Activities and experiences are planned to allow each child to attempt and achieve their set objective.

Individual developmental progress is evaluated and monitored regularly. Parents receive a written Progress Report every four months which details how their child is progressing in all developmental domains. Parents are able to arrange meetings with the Qualified staff in their child’s room throughout the year.

Parent evenings are held to allow families to talk with their child’s caregivers and to view what the children have been learning. Each child has a Portfolio of work samples and learning outcomes, which go home with their Progress Reports, every 6 months.

Daily Information Sheets are used to ensure important care information is passed between families and the care giving staff.  We request that children under three years of age complete these forms before each care session. Parents of older children are welcome to complete these sheets.
