Care Group Information

Kidz Biz Early Learning Centre group children to ensure their developmental requirements are catered for. All children are placed in care groups that promote their individual developmental progress and well being.

BABIES ROOM

These care rooms generally accommodate children aged from 0- 18 months.

Qualified and Experienced staff care for our babies. We aim to care for your precious baby as you would at home. We ask parents to share their home routines with us, to allow us to provide continuity of care for your baby. The less we change their routine the better it is for you and your baby.
Kidz Biz provide two separate cot rooms to allow versatility with children’s sleeping needs. Sleep times are conducted to be consistent with home sleep times.
Children can commence care as soon as they are on a regular bottle feeding schedule. Parents are able to supply breast milk in labeled bottles. The Centre provides whole cows milk. Parents can supply formula of their choice.
Parents supply their child’s disposable nappies. Bulk lots can be stored at the centre.
Our cook makes fresh purees and suitable baby foods to cater for each child’s nutritional and food texture needs as they commence solids.
Babies participate in a developmental program designed to ensure all children are progressing appropriately. Any concerns are discussed with parents and together strategies to increase the child’s development are put in place at home and at care.

Babies participate in experiences and activities to spark their interests and learning. Caregivers ensure many 1:1 interactions occur each day, with each child. Babies bond with their caregivers and feel secure in our loving environment.

Daily information sheets are completed by staff, to ensure parents know exactly how our caring staff looked after your child during their day with us.

TODDLER ROOM 1

Depending on the needs of the local community, only some Kidz Biz Early Learning Centres have a Toddler 1 room. Please look under Locations for more information.

These care rooms generally accommodate up to 15 children aged from 1 ½ - 2 ½ year of age. 1 Qualified and 2 Experienced staff care for our toddlers.
This care room specifically meets the increasing needs for exploration and activity that older babies require. Toddler 1 room provides a transitional program from the babies to Toddler 2 room.

Children attempt more structured activities and experiences as they develop. The toddler 1 program introduces new fine and gross motor skills. The children are encouraged to explore, manipulate and take on appropriate challenges, as their self confidence emerges. Fun, messy art & craft activities allow the toddlers to express themselves pictorially and emotionally, as their language develops.

Language and social development are key areas of the toddler 1 program. Children are encouraged to ‘use their words’ and share with their peers. Children learn about the role others play in their lives and how to handle their emotions in positive ways.

Daily Information Sheets are completed by our care staff and parents receive Progress Reports about their child’s development, every four months.

Much learning takes place in this care room. Our professional staff are very patient and aware of the developmental needs of emerging toddlers.

TODDLER ROOM 2

Depending on the needs of the local community, only some Kidz Biz Early Learning Centres have a Toddler 2 room. Please look under Locations for more information.

These care rooms generally are licensed for 20, 2-3 year old children. 1 Qualified and 3 Experienced staff care for this age group.

A large carpeted area provides soft play room. Tables and chairs on the lino zone are used for art & craft, educational table top activities and meal times during morning and afternoon program times.

Children in this care room are encouraged to develop independence and self-help skills. Praise and positive guidance from carers develops toddlers’ self-esteem.

The children sleep on individual, off the ground beds and the Centre provides the linen and blankets.
Toilet training is incorporated into the room’s routines. Care giving staff liaise with parents on each child’s progress and can give helpful suggestions.

Toddlers 2 enjoy Early Learning Curriculum Programs that meet the developmental needs of this age group. Children with identified developmental delays or extended abilities are catered for with our Early Intervention Programs.
Parents receive regular written reports of their child’s developmental and educational progress. Parents are able to make an appointment with their child’s Qualified carer to discuss any aspect of their child’s care.

Meals are nutritious and children are encouraged to use their forks and spoons to eat. Children sit at table and chairs and join in discussions at their table. Toddler picnics on blankets, are held outside, when the weather and menu permits.

Toddlers enjoy fun-filled days of painting, dancing, singing, games, construction, playing with friends and doing everything toddlers need to do!

THE KINDY & PRE-SCHOOL ROOMS

Where the Kidz Biz Early Learning Centre offers two care rooms for children aged 3-6 years of age, the program provides a Kindy program for children 3-4 years of age and a Pre-School program for the older children aged 4- 6 years of age. These two educational programs incorporate our Early Learning Curriculum and devise learning experiences appropriate for the children’s developmental age.

The children aged 3- 6 years of age engage in our Specialist Teaching Programs – in separate groups. Please see Programs tab, for more information.

Our Early Learning Curriculum provides educational and exciting experiences to engage the interests of our Kindy & Pre-School children. A Qualified Teacher, university trained, teaches in this age group. Many children stay at Kidz Biz for their Pre-Primary year

Kindy & Pre-School children receive progress reports every six months, which details how children are progressing with their learning and development.

Extra to our Early Learning Curriculum, Kidz Biz include the following Specialist Teaching Programs. These programs are for all children from 3-6 years.

•   Small Group & 1:1 Learning Sessions,
•   Letterland programs to develop pre-writing and pre-reading skills,
•   Italian Lessons,

Music and Drama Time,

Indonesian Language Time,
Educational Computer Time.

We find children in this age group revel in our exclusive programs.

Children are able to sleep/rest on off the ground beds. If children no longer require a rest, supervised quiet activities are provided in the main playroom.
