The Centre operates from Monday through to Friday.
We are closed on Public Holidays.
Facilities
The Centre offers a modern, safe and educational learning environment for the children. The Centre opening in May 2008 and was purpose built for Broome with skylights and vents in the roof will add in natural light and allow fresh air to circulate throughout the centre and children’s care rooms.
The Centre has a Full Time Non- Contact Supervising Officer working in the front office and a Qualified Food Coordinator works each day to provide the children with three meals. In addition to this each room has a University or TAFE Qualified room leader.
There are five Care rooms to accommodate the children ranging from babies to after school care. Qualified staff in each room design weekly programs for the individual needs of each child as well as group activities for the whole room.
Care Groups – This centre offers our:
Babies Rooms 1 which cares for 8 children 0-12 months and
Babies Room 2 which cares for 12 children from 1 – 2 years of age;
Toddlers Room which cares for 20 children from 2 – 3 years;
Kindy 3 Room which cares for 17 children from 3 – 4 years;
Kindy 4 Room which cares for 30 children from 4 – 6 years of age.
This centre offers 15 after School care places for children under 9 years of age.
The children are grouped according to their level of development and age.
Centre Security
The Centre is fitted with a Monitored Alarm System. The entry door into the centre has a coded key pad and no unauthorised access can be made.
Staff are trained to handle Emergency and Hold Up situations. And are informed of all children protected by Custody Orders and are trained how to handle these situations.
Playground
Our spacious, grassed and shady Adventure Playground provides children with room to run with their friends and explore the varied, exciting planned gross motor activities. The Playground has real lawn for the children to play on. The climbing Structure is Australian Standards Approved. A child-sized drinking fountain ensures water is accessible to children at all times and is sanitized each day.
Shade frames over sandpit, trees, wide sweeping verandahs and colourful shade sails over play equipment, ensure children can play outside while protected from the sun’s harmful rays. The Centre is Sun Smart Accredited and the Sun Protection Policy limits play time in the direct sun during the higher UV months of the year. We all wear 30+ sunscreen and hats all year round.
Children play games and engage in many experiences that are both fun and educational. This is where most of our messy explorations take place!
